Dennis S. Mitrano, Partner

Dennis Mitrano founded RSI Wine Mavens based on the premise that many wineries will be under-represented in the crowded three tier system. These wineries make excellent wine and they cannot afford sales people in every market. RSI Wine Mavens fills that void. 

Dennis is a business executive with a broad background in communications, outsourced business services and consumer marketing. He has led two companies, held board seats and is well grounded in sales, marketing and operations – both internationally and domestically. He has successfully conceived and executed mass consumer campaigns and developed partnerships with Fortune 100 firms. He has navigated venture-funded and public companies to decision points for over fifteen years. 

Dennis’ experience in the world of wine includes being involved with wine storage and distribution on a periodic basis for over ten years. He has been active with the High Museum Wine Auction – one of the nation’s top ten charity events – for over ten years, serving on various committees, including the wine donation committee, and aiding in event execution. He has helped with other charity events and tastings across the southeastern US.

He holds a MBA from George Washington University, majoring in Finance and International business, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Virginia Tech.

Emma Tracy Carpenter, Partner

Tracy Carpenter started in the wine business via osmosis; being introduced to the industry by her sister Rebecca Tipton Savu in the mid 1980’s.  Collectively she, her husband (Jim Carpenter) her sisters and her brother-in-law have been in the wine and spirits industry for over 100 years.  Tracy started her career with Heritage Beverage Company in South Carolina advancing to a supplier broker for Southern Slopes and then as a sales manager with Constellation Brands, Casa Girelli, The Gambrinus Company and European Wine Group in the national account arena.   

For her the wine industry is not just employment it is a passion!  During Tracy’s career she has negotiated distributor representation in multiple states and managed high profile brands throughout the Southeast and Midwest regions.  She is well versed in all aspects of pricing, programming, and most importantly market development in both the on and off premise segments.  In addition, she successfully developed on-going national account placements and relationships.  Tracy has also managed expense budgets to within 5% while exceeding sales goals by double digits. 

 Tracy and Jim currently reside in Atlanta, GA with Trumpet, a beautiful three year old yellow lab, who is a whine connoisseur in her own right.
